Most Common Yoga Mistakes You Should Avoid

No one can master yoga on the very first day, we are all humans, and we make mistakes. But the main part is learning from those mistakes and moving do to learn the yoga overtime.

Here are some of the most common yoga mistakes that you can learn from, and avoid making when you actually start your yoga classes.

Holding Your Breath

yoga exercisesIt is a common mistake made by the students of yoga. They just hold their breath when they’re trying to make a pose right. Even in the easiest of exercises, people are seen holding their breath. This is unnecessary, and shadows the benefits of yoga. Holding your breaths obstructs the flow of energy in and out of your body, so, you won’t be able to reap the benefits of yoga to their fullest. Don’t hold your breath in any yoga pose, and if you find yourself out of breath while doing a yoga pose, take some rest and restart later on.

Not Using Props

Props are any type of helpful material that helps us make a certain yoga pose that is otherwise difficult for us to make. All of us have our own physical limitations, and if an injury is keeping you from making a pose in the right way, you can use props to hold one limb of your body up.

Using a prop and making the right pose can help you reap its benefits to the fullest.

Doing The Triangle Wrong

Triangle is one of the essential pose that a yoga student must learn in order to start working on more complex poses. In the triangle pose, you shoulders go in the same line as your hips, under side of the waist is long, chest and belly roll up towards the ceiling. This is a lateral movement, but some students try to bend forward to reach for their toes. This is completely wrong and should be avoided. Moreover, if you think that there are other mistakes that need to be worked on, you can join a yoga school like the Marianne Wells Yoga School to help yourself.
